Christmas at Bag-End

Yah, okay, I know that there isn't a Christmas in Middle Earth. And I know that even if there was, Frodo had sailed away before Elanor's first winter anyway. But this idea planted itself firmly in my head Christmas nights.
This is probably the longest I've ever spent on any picture outside of a class project. The line work took me three days to get down before I told perspective that it could just go screw itself. Coloring...well..I've never used Prismacolors on a large scale like this, so it was mostly an experiment. I'm vexed with the size constraints because a lot of the already fuzzy detail got even worse. By the way, my favorite part is Pippin's right trouser-leg. Of course. Frodo being in the shadows worked nicely, I guess. Maybe should have inked it. Oh, and Pip and Merry's gifts are sweaters with the livery of Gondor and Rohan, respectively.
