Yeah, all those pencilled pages that I worked my tail off to finish in time for Editor's Day? Those were okay (the reaction every time an editor opened my portfolio was "Oh hey! Booster and Beetle!"). But the silly doodles I did a few months back on scrap pieces of bristol and unprofessionally taped against the back of a page? Yeah, those were apparently the most popular thing in there.

Well. I did have fun drawing these little suckers. And I've got a couple of scenes with 'em that went over well too. Problem is, they really require coloring and I really don't like coloring. But hey, here they are!

I'd like to get some of the rest of JLI/JLE in there too--Flash, Animal Man, Captain and Mary Marvel (okay, she's Superbudies, but still). For the record, I loves me some Max Lord.

Max Lord. Currently known as a villain who shot Ted Kord in the head and tried to take over the world (of course!), but at the time of the JLI he was more of a chessmaster-type. He was the guy who basically assembled the who league, most of it covertly, and then ran the league. Always shady and a little untrustworthy, but someone who genuinely tried to be a better person despite himself.

...possibly my second or third favorite JLI-er.

Ahh, thank you so much. : D I've always been more of an Image girl, myself, but the DCAU has gotten me interested in DC a bit more. Always happy to learn more.
