Dead Beat -pencils- by xanykaos Dead Beat -pencils- by xanykaos
Sort-of poster thing of Dresden Files: Dead Beat, my favorite of the books.

Here's hoping I don't screw it up in the inks. I want to see if Jim Butcher'll sign it for me.

Sweet! Seriously, what other series would have the hero ride a zombie dinosaur into battle?

Fantastic. Just finished re-reading Dead Beat and it is my favorite of the series so far as well. You did a great job with arrangement of the picture. Very dynamic.

I really love this! Butters looks so worried! Which is exactly what I would like in his polka shoes!

Woot! Looks great. I love the shadings work on his jacket and glove. Sue looks badass as well, and sha Butters. So precious.

Oh--I just noticed two things I didn't see in the original sketch, if it matters. The lines in the cap/crenellations right above Sue's back are a bit too curvy, which makes it looks like the ceiling is falling a bit. Also, the staff (or is it his blasting rod? I can't remember) gets bigger on the right hand side, so unless you intended for it to thin in the middle, you might want to even that out~

<3

I could totally see his signature on Sue...or even on Dresden's knuckles. That would be pretty badass. XD

Dude if there's a T-rex stomping around in the room the ceiling can fall as far as I'm concerned. (my opinion doesn't matter, I know, yet I comment anyhow)

You know, that's a very good point. The museum must be very well built to have survived that event!

Yeah, I can see him signing this. But where would he scribble?
